Vans

The city was Anaheim, California. The date was March 16, 1966. Brothers Paul Van Doren and James Van Doren opened their first store under the name The Van Doren Rubber Company. They sold 12 shoes that first day and now nearly 50 years later hundreds of thousands of Vans shoes have graced the feet of many generations.
